Launched as a comprehensive destination targeting a global do-it-yourself audience, REVVOLUTION.COM caters directly to the automotive enthusiast, the professional, and those genuinely interested in the subject. Revv’s all-inclusive approach encourages a community that covers every make, model and genre.

They offer user-generated content that can be modified by fellow enthusiasts, along with by-lined authoritative submissions from industry experts and influencers. This allows users to create an unlimited information database, fueling Revvolution.com ’s position as the internet’s most far-reaching automotive search engine.

I’ve worked with Ryan Randels, founder and editor for the and revvolution.com for a few years on logo and t-shirts design. Great guy and a pleasure to collaborate with. He and his team at Revvolution.com are a group of automobile enthusiasts living what they have deemed the Modified Lifestyle. At their core is a collective passion for all things automotive, but it is the way they individually exhibit their passions every day that sets them apart while simultaneously brings them together. The String Cheese Incident (SCI)

is a band from Crested Butte and Telluride, Colorado formed in 1993. The band is composed of Michael Kang (acoustic/electric mandolin, electric guitar, and violin), Michael Travis (drums and percussion), Bill Nershi (acoustic guitar, lap steel guitar, and electric slide guitar), Kyle Hollingsworth (piano, organ, Rhodes, and accordion), and Keith Moseley (bass guitar), and, in 2006, Jason Hann (auxiliary percussion). Their music has elements of bluegrass sounds, as well as rock, electronica, calypso, country, funk, jazz, Latin, progressive rock, reggae, and occasional psychedelia. All members write original compositions and share vocal duties. Nershi has written the bulk of the group’s original songs.

Another in a long line of clients within the music industry that I’ve had the good fortune of working with, The String Cheese Incident has been a consistent source inspiration over the last several years. Much like STS9 and EOTO, SCI’s style (and yes I am aware of this genre’s apparent love of acronyms) has afforded me the ability to design without limit and delve into an eclectic array of subject matter. EOTO (/ˈiːoʊtoʊ/ ee-oh-toh) Apparel Designs

I worked primarily with Travis on the all the EOTO design work. Very cool dude and a pleasure to collaborate with. We would give him 10 or 12 designs for their album release or upcoming tour and he would get the rest of the band and management’s 2 cents and we’d finalize from there. Much like STS9 the designs were a lot of fun to make. The guys gave us great direction but also free reign to go crazy with it. We came up with some really great stuff.

EOTO (/ˈiːoʊtoʊ/ ee-oh-toh) is an electronic band consisting of Michael Travis and Jason Hann. The band’s music is created live and without prerecorded loops. The band formed in 2006 as a side project of The String Cheese Incident incorporating looper pedals, like Echoplex and the production program Ableton. According to one reviewer, the duo sets their live instruments free and take on a new electronic flavor.

APPAREL DESIGNS FOR COOL KIDS HITTIN THAT COLD DEEP POW

DESCRIPTION

We have had the great pleasure of working with the kids at CU’s Boulder Freeride Club for a number of years now. We use the term ‘kids’ loosely however as they are in fact some of the most dedicated, organized and efficient clients we have worked with. It’s kinda crazy how much more driven and intelligent these guys are than we ever were at their age. While we spent the majority of our college experiences goofing off (to put it lightly) these young adults are in essence running a small business… And having a great time doing it! Below are a few things we’ve designed for Boulder Freeride this year.

WHO ARE THEY

First and foremost, we at Boulder Freeride love snow. Whether it’s dropping cliffs or learning to link turns, the reason that we’re here is to promote the sports of skiing and snowboarding to the University of Colorado. Since 1933, Boulder Freeride has been a student run, non-profit organization, and is currently the largest student group on campus, as well as the largest collegiate ski and snowboard club in the world. The club is run by a board of directors, consisting of 10-20 students who are enrolled at the university. Every fall, we recruit new board members to join us; if you’re in for one of the greatest experiences of your life, look for application opportunities in August and take part in the quest for snowcapped greatness! Our club has activities year-round. Aside from an epic camping trip every fall, we throw down at the beginning of the year at our annual welcome back bash, Welcome Freeriders. To pump our members up for the season, we host a number of upcoming skiing and snowboarding movie premieres. Each month, we hold general meetings, in-store shop nights through our sponsors, on-mountain BBQ’s, and a handful of unforgettable trips. With these trips, we bring hundreds of CU students to places around the world. We have a few regular condo weekends (Summit County) and trips (Breckenridge for Thanksgiving & the X-Games in January) but we have also been known to travel to such exotic locales as Jackson Hole, WY; Innsbruck, Austria; Chamonix, France; and Whistler, Canada.

Virain Sudios is an independently-owned, interior design studio out of Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 2021 by the increadebly talented and nationally renowed designer Maribeth Brostowski, Virian was a project we built from the ground up, hand-in-hand with Maribeth and her team. We wanted a logo, brand and website that showcased Maribeth’s exquisite taste as well as her extesive portfolio. 

Assignment

1. A new logo that was interesting and elemental. Something that bridged the comfort of classic decor with the freedom of modern design. 

2. A new brand identity that reflected the company vision and supported the kind of work Virian would be producing. 

3. A new website that showcased the extensive work Maribeth had already done around the Boston area. 

Objective

Create a sense of intrigue and beauty in the overall look and style of the brand that reflects the attention to detail Maribeth’s reputation alreday instills. 

Create a portfolio website, optimized and easy to use that is also easy to update as new projects will need to be added monthly.
